Some universities expect students to choose their major when they enter university. Others let students wait until the second or the third year. Which do you think is better and why?

托�？谡Z答題思路：
1）剛上大學(xué)就選專業(yè)—明確目標(biāo)，方便選課；有更長時間學(xué)習(xí)本專業(yè)的基礎(chǔ)和深層次的理論知識，參與更多相關(guān)實習(xí)，調(diào)研，取得更好的學(xué)術(shù)成就，反之時間較短，不能深入學(xué)習(xí)本專業(yè)的課程
2）過兩年再選—利用此時間，選擇各種課程，來確定自己興趣愛好，究竟適合選哪個專業(yè)學(xué)習(xí)，相反如果盲目選擇，很可能后來發(fā)現(xiàn)不適合此專業(yè)學(xué)習(xí)，這樣更浪費時間

I think the latter is better coz given one or two years, students have more chances to take various courses, which means they have longer time to explore what their real interest is. By contrast, if they choose their major the moment the enter the university, they might possibly find out their choice don’t fit, which actually is a waste of time. Take my sister as an example, she chose the major of electronic engineering in Grade one, but later found out that she didn’t like it and it was just too hard for her. Later she made another choice and majored in educational sociology, but it took her one more year to finish university.

If your university is planning to improve its campus, which do you think needs to be improved the most: the swimming pool, the cafeteria, or the dormitory?

托�？谡Z答題思路：
1）swimming pool—可以提供更好的設(shè)備和服務(wù)，如專業(yè)泳道，休息室等，吸引更多學(xué)生健身鍛煉；學(xué)生學(xué)業(yè)壓力大，可以去游泳來緩解壓力，另外兩個不能達(dá)到這樣的效果
2）cafeteria—可以提供更好的飲食和服務(wù)，增加營養(yǎng)均衡且美味的飲食，確保學(xué)生飲食均衡健康；更多學(xué)生會購買meal plan，增加學(xué)校收入
3）dorm—可以提供更好的住宿服務(wù)，確保學(xué)生們能在宿舍休息生活更好；更多學(xué)生會申請學(xué)校住宿，增加學(xué)校收入

托福口語Sample answer:
I think improving the school dormitory is the best choice. To start with, school could provide better service to students living in the dorm, maybe they can have a large lounge where students can socialize and relax, or a laundry with more washing machines. All of these ensure a better and more convenient environment to students. Plus, this change can definitely attracts more students to apply school dorm and it helps school get more revenue, with which the university will have more funding to improve other facilities like swimming pool or cafeteria.
