教授講動物的adaptation，只吃葉子的兩種適應(yīng)方式。
（1）說無尾熊只吃leaves，為了保持能量，就大部分時間睡覺，保留energy ; （2）還說這種無尾熊try different kinds of leaves ,如果有不良反應(yīng)就不吃了，同類也都不會再吃，只吃沒不良反應(yīng)的。

In the lecture, the professor talks about how herbivorous animals survive on a diet of plant leaves which are low in nutrition and sometimes poisonous. The two adaptations include maintaining a slow metabolic rate and being selective about their food.
In the professor’s example, the koala feeds on only eucalyptus leaves, which are very fibrous and low in nutrition.
The koala sleeps about 20 hours a day to keep their metabolism low and reduce their energy requirement. In addition，eucalyptus leaves are toxic so koalas are very selective about the leaves they eat.
Typically, they visit trees with leaves containing higher available nitrogen, which is the source of protein in the koala’s body.
However, they avoid trees with a higher concentration of toxins which have made them sick before.
