雅思口語Part3：New things
Q1.Why do you think some people like doing new things?
A1. Some try new things just for fun. Exotic food could be a surprise to your taste bud; a debut single may be a stunner to your ear; and, some new type of video games could give you a fantastic experience that you’ve never dreamt of.
Others might do this to benefit themselves, like, a newly launched facial mask might leave your skin refreshed and toned; a new type of diet might help lose a few kilos.
Q2.What problems can people have when they try new activities?
A2: Nerves, I guess. Imagine you’re standing on the top of a cliff. In a few minutes you’re gonna do bungee jumping but you’ve never tried it before. How would you feel? It is very likely that you experience a fusion of worry, upset, anxiety and stress as well as excitement for everything’s unknown to you and you’re kind of having no control of anything.
Q3.Do you think it’s best to do new things on your own or with other people? Why?
A3.Under most circumstances I do this myself. I believe everyone has his/her own reason and criteria, when it comes to what and why he/she would like to try something new. I just do my own thing in my own way, focusing on my own business. I think it is just quite natural that I keep the experience private, be it pleasant or sad, successful or, just a waste of time.
